In Older Times, Women were not Allowed to Own Land
The FALSE claim, that in days past, women were not allowed to own land.
TRUTH:
Check out the Government Land Office/Bureau of Land Managament
website for one and you can download actual documents which were
transactions between individuals (or sometimes more than one person)
and the U.S. government in which that person bought LAND from the U.S.
government. Many of these people were WOMEN. And no man's co-signature
is present on some of these documents. If women were not ALLOWED to
own land on their own - how could they have bought it from the U.S.
government? Some of these documents date back to the 1830s and even
exist in the so-called "backwards patriarchal" states like Alabama.
BRAINWASHING:
Again, fear and hatred of men is placed in women. This adds to the myth of women's
oppression, and of course, feminism is not a hate movement - it is actually that
force that helps alleviate such imagined oppressions.
